Gold Day. Formerly A Day. Day 67.
So apparently there is a rumor going around that FSU moved up the date to announce acceptance. LIES! In fact the new policy is first come first served. On December 26th the first 1000 students to race onto campus and stick a flag with their face on it, into the ground outside the Student Union, will be accepted. So do not allow yourselves to be distracted. Just be in Tallahassee on December 26th ready to sprint onto campus. Also they are giving preference to students dressed like zoo animals.
Today when I was walking Sybil she found a pile of dog treats just scattered around on the ground. Personally I would be suspicious of something like that. If I found a boat of sushi just sitting on the sidewalk I probably wouldn't eat it. Sybil had less reservations. She gulped down a handful of them before I could stop her. Sybil is not deaf but she pretends to be at times. This is one of those times. She's sleeping next to me now, and snoring a little. I'm glad she had a good day.
Speaking of good days, FBI class got to take a quiz. You're welcome! They seemed to really enjoy it, so I am willing to give them a few more to keep them in good spirits.
I entered the test grades for A day today. I prefer to debrief my students before entering grades. I find it makes them less likely to cry in the open. I make the bathroom pass available so they can cry quietly in the stall. I also like to prepare the room by putting on soothing spa music and locking up sharp pencils and staplers etc. Overall I think the results were typical. You're all winners! B day, tomorrow it's your turn. I have the spa music ready.
