Day 98
I started the day early, checking my room for bees. Sadly there were none, so I worked alone in the dark.
Period five presented their "musicals". Once, as a child I was forced to stay home while the rest of my family went to see "Evita" on Broadway. I wish that today, someone had forced me to stay home, although I am thoroughly impressed by the fact that anyone performed at all. ADHD medicine is making great strides. Or not. I have no idea really, I just assume anytime a kid does something impressive it can't possibly be natural. It's a cynicism I wish to purge from myself.
My sophomore study hall went to the auditorium to see the vaping assembly. I'm not really sure if it was pro-vaping or anti-vaping. I left them there to suffer, although I did lure them in by saying they were getting free vapes. It was a lie. I think.
Seventh period continued to give presentations that would have Mom's for Liberty squirming in discomfort. Just because we are attempting to solve the problem of sex-trafficking it doesn't mean we endorse it. We did have to mention that it exists though. Unfortunately that is how learning works! Neat!
8th period took a test they were not prepared for. Then I turned them against each other in a vicious game of history hunger games. I left them with a literal "Sophie's Choice" which was a very sad movie, so look it up. The winner could choose twenty points on her own test, or the chance for the entire class to get a second chance. Winning carries responsibility and no game is only for fun. At least not your fun. I enjoyed everyone's discomfort immensely. Also I gave away a phone that wasn't mine. I'm sorry if it was yours, but that is the chance you take when you bring your toys to school.
come back period 1 misses you
Keeping track of scores was fun because I got to watch people drown in their own misery. :)
