Day 86

And just like that the hatred fell away. I was as unburdened as an infant and I felt no hate. We might not have all the books, but we do have BMX riders floating casually around the gym,

Then this anonymous person handed out some facts during homeroom. I didn't have the sound all the way up, but I think she was bragging about how she has 60,000 blue whales at home in a bottle. Seems wasteful to me.

Then for two hours nothing happened. I may have had an AICE class, but I have no memory of it. I think it is a coping mechanism. My first memory after homeroom was being aware I was eating a sandwich. Was it my sandwich? Where did it come from? Did I steal it? Was it given to me? Did it have any blue whale in it?

U.S. History Honors shuffled into class like a street gang filled with all of the people real street gangs reject. We talked a bit about progressivism and imperialism and when I mentioned how Alaska was once valuable for the otter skin trade, many of the kids seemed excited about starting a "Skin Your Own Otter" business. Sort of like pick your own pumpkin, but much more horrible. I was aghast, but they reveled in the idea.

Kids can be cruel. This is me stating a fact. I'm not encouraging it. No Hate, or a team of bicyclists will enlist you in the Marines, an organization based around harmony, laughter and where no one is ever hostile, and no one hates.
