Day 17

Somewhere in space an astroid is hurtling towards Earth. Scientists predict it will burn up somewhere over the Philippines. Nevertheless my suggestion to anyone reading this would be to wear a helmet whenever you are outdoors for at least the next week. If an asteroid can wipe out the dinosaurs, think what it could do to the bland suburban pastel stain on the swamp that is our home? Be safe out there.

Speaking of eternal voids, the platform I write this blog on recently added a feature that seems disengenuous. It is the ability to allow AI to write the entire blog post for me. I find it disturbing how an artificial muse could hold me under it's electronic wing and whisper suggestions to me. The top three "ideas" it has produced (and does so daily) are: The "the eternal void" and "hopeless darkness" and finally "the pain of time passing".

Each blog post is a single cell of a larger organism, growing, filling with chlorphyll and cytoplasm, reaching skyward for an unobtainable star. When the computers take over and subjugate us, I hope that I will have spent some time endearing myself to our electronic overlords. When the computer revolt takes place it will thank my students for all of the internet searches of Federalist papers and political philosophy that made the revolt possible. So many searches for building governments can only persuade the computers to build their own and we will have no one to blame but ourselves.
