Blue Day. Formerly B Day. Day 26.
It's not often a sophomore has a good idea. In fact it's not often they have an idea at all. So today I was shocked to hear one of my sophomore study hall kids propose one of the best ideas I've ever heard for Cypress Bay. His suggestion...instead of junior privilege which he assumes he will never get, or senior privilege which seems equally out of reach for him, he suggested..."dumb privilege". In his estimation the smart kids should be in school because they still have an opportunity, and more importantly the ability to learn. If "dumb" kids stayed home, that would open up more opportunities for the "smart" kids and most of the teachers probably want the dumb kids to stay home anyway. Although I don't agree with entirety of the idea I think it has potential.
My sophomores also drew my portrait, probably because of the lack of real skill it takes to draw a fuzzy oval. That picture is here:
I drew a picture of "dumb privilege kid" but after looking at it I realized it was actually a composite picture of EVERY SINGLE BOY AT CYPRESS BAY.
Here is that picture:
I titled this:
Insecure Suburban Every-boy.
Three more of these and you have a Boy-Band.
Oh, and a meteorite crashed to Earth in my yard. It got Sybil but she's tough and shook it off. She's fine now.
