B Day August 23

Freshman Study Hall: I arrived a bit late to class and found all of the Freshman walking in aimless circles in the hallway. Leaderless and without direction they knocked about in the hallway like blind ants. After opening the door they funneled into the room looking about for a place to not be noticed. I informed them that we would be doing emergency drills and we proceeded to reading my proprietary play "The Burning III". They were confused but they read the play and then waited to be evacuated. Once the drill to evacuate began we shuffled into the staircase and walked slowly to the first floor, realizing fully well that if there was an actual fire people would be flinging themselves down the stairs and the tiny ones I shepherded would most likely be carried by the surge of human bodies. Better that than bake like a Hot Pocket in the oven the stairwell would surely become. We went outside and I pretended to take attendance but I had mistakenly left my class rolls indoors. I have no idea if all of them made it out and I would not be surprised if a few are still out there now as the sun fades, waiting for their name to be called. I will miss them and their curious ways.

U.S. History Honors learned how to do vocabulary using the PERSIA method. This did not take long as I mean to keep PERSIA simple and relevant. Better to be to the point than plagiarize a definition you don't understand. We then watched a questionable video fragment and finished the power point "Course and Consequences of the Civil War." When I was done teaching everyone clapped because it was amazing. A few students cried and seemed overwhelmed by gratitude by the new knowledge they had gained. Then we learned the WAVES technique of examining political cartoons. We finished the History Hunger Games and then we had some time to sit and stare. Vocabulary is due Friday.

U.S. History Regular did more or less the same as above. However I will be modifying PERSIA slightly because I am not a monster.
