A Day November 4th

So, I've been very behind. I honestly can't remember what happened on this day so I'm going to fill in the parts I can't remember with vague recollections bordering on fantasy.

U.S. History Honors: Today I took the class outside to learn how to train a hippogryph. One of the more precocious students got a chance to ride him around the school, swooping low over the canal and shouting with un-restrained joy. I believe this happened second period as I would never trust first period with such great responsibility. Later, several of my students built a statue of me out of gum they peeled off the bottom of the desks. I found this repulsive, but considering it kept them from eating it (as second period continuously attempts to do," I allowed it.

First period was mostly late as they continue to become lost in the labyrinthian hallways of Cypress Bay. I found many of them trying to walk into the room from the adjacent hallway, just walking straight into the wall like NPC's from a glitching video game. I was not surprised and I just corralled them into the classroom where they sat open mouthed and silent like lobotomized cattle. I continued to teach and when the bell rang I ushered them out of the room and they wandered into the hallway like human traffic cones disrupting the natural flow of students, becoming burdensome to not just me but the public in general.

AICE Global A and AS did a speaking exercise. The prompts I gave them allowed me to view the disturbed furniture of their minds in disarray. I was able to peer through the shrouds of torn linen and dusty glass panes of their darkest thoughts and the troubled haphazard jumble of thoughts made me uncomfortable and I wish I had never pressed my face against that glass.
