B Day!

Today we took a quiz on the Civil War. Many students threw down their books and shook their tiny fists at the sliver of sky that mocked them from the windows. As so many wildebeest rushing down a river bank to perhaps drown in the oily water of a lazy river, so to did hordes of juniors attempt the quiz, fearing the worst but hoping for one last triumph. After the quiz we all decided it would be a good time to learn some more vocabulary, so I assigned Civil War Vocabulary 2. It must be completed for homework and will be collected next class (the 29th). On that day there will also be a quiz on the very words.
